Self-care – why it is so important (and so difficult)

When flying on an airplane you are asked to put on your own oxygen mask first before turning toward others. This makes totally sense, but self-care is not only important in an emergency but literally every day.

Only when taking care of ourselves we can be the person we want to be for our children, partner, colleagues, friends – and most importantly for ourselves.

  • Why is it so difficult to live like this?
Where does the fear come from to be labelled as “egoistic”?
  • What hinders me to do / to eat / to say what would be good and right for me?
  • What gives me energy and joy of living?
  • And when (and why) did I stop making room for this in my life?

In this interactive workshop we will talk about self-care and find out what it means for each of us and how we can manage to integrate it into our lives.

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health –
food, people, things, situations, and everything the drew me down and away from myself.
At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is LOVE OF ONESELF.
